Martin Edge is a full time underwater photographer who first took his camera into the sea 25 years ago, and has had more than a thousand images published in a variety of magazines all over the world. He grew up in Staffordshire without any inclination towards diving or photography. After moving to Dorset, Martin and his wife learned to dive the temperate local waters - and driven by a desire to travel, Martin took his first underwater photographs off the Island of Minorca. In the 1980's he participated in numerous underwater photography competitions, obtaining many awards internationally. Martin has a passion for creating abstract images of marine life; 'The texture, colour and patterns of marine life found beneath the waves, the composition and design of a colourful fish fin, has always been an avid fascination for me'. Martin has also published three books on underwater photography, and provides specialist tuition to professionals and enthusiasts.
